Steidl releases Transitional States; Robert Polidori's 25 year study of the palace of Versailles. Transitional States is Polidori's attempt to visually portray aspects of historical revisionism as seen through various stages of the restoration of the Palace of Versailles.
McDermott & McGough release “If you had been the Moon,” a fifteen minute black &
white 1930’s period piece filmed with the Red Camera. The film’s story focuses
on the relationship between two young leading actors, evocative of Paul Newman
and James Dean, who meet for the first time as they arrive on set for screen
tests. McDermott & McGough’s work has been exhibited in the Whitney
Museum, the Museum of Modern Art in Ireland, as well as the Museum of
Photography in Paris.

Tobie blurs the line between fine art and fashion by combining the classic discipline of charcoal, pen, and ink drawing with the layering of colored transparent pantone films. This process of abstracting and deconstructing creates a form of beauty and balance within her illustrations. She has recently collaborated with Dovetail Studios to bring her drawings to life by adding animation, the perfect balance of digital and the tactile. Fashion editor Serge Girardi styled "The Brothers Grim" story for T Magazine's fall men's issue photographed by Matthew Brookes. Girardi's enduring love of Edward Gorey illustration was his principal inspiration for this story. By using locations that referenced the sinister atmosphere of Gorey's books Girardi enhanced the eerie vibe of the clothing.
